At the Toronto Autonomous Systems Collective (TASC), hands-on learning is at the heart of everything we do. This year, Megapro Tools helped take that experience to the next level by donating more than $15,000 worth of professional-grade tools to our team. For students designing and building a planetary rover from the ground up, access to reliable tools is essential.
What We Do at TASC
Founded in 2024 as a battlebot club before evolving into a planetary rover team, TASC gives students at Toronto Metropolitan University the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. Our multidisciplinary team works across mechanical design, electronics, controls, embedded systems, software, and manufacturing.
Since rebranding to TASC, we have committed to planetary rover development and just last year we made our rover competition debut at the Canadian International Rover Challenge (CIRC) in Drumheller, Alberta, where our rover faced a demanding simulated Martian environment.
